On this day I took spray paint and out lined where I want it dug up and the work begins.
Now I am not getting far very fast but remember this is clay soil, it's like going through concrete.
My goal this spring is to dig up to where the white line ends. My end goal is to get to the end of the fence but working in baby steps.
I am feeling accomplished already!
Once the soil is all turned up we are adding a shield under the fence so the weeds don't grow up under there. It's a rubber type liner.
Then we will add our temporary edging and a weed barrier on top of what has been turned over to add new top soil.
Fiona likes it when we are out in the yard.
A quick view of some more of our yard. We have a lot of weeds not much grass due to we have many large trees so our backyard is mostly in the shade. We have some broken up concrete from Mr. Man fencing project from a few years back...I will tell that story in another post.
We will have to gather up this trash up and bring it to the dump. Mr. Man said he may bury it. Also we have a lot of scrap fencing so we may make a run to the recycling center because we also have a refrigerator that needs to go.
I will be making breakfast in a few minutes then it's out to the yard once again. I have also been doing a little raking as I go along. So many leaves!
Thanks for the visit!
Hugs,
Tania
