Minnie

I'm a little obsessed...in love...in awe of my Minnie.
Minnie came to me in June 2005.  I was living at my friend Robyn's home with my daughter Erica until she graduated.  I think we were there about 3 months.  Tom lived in Georgia at the time, we had just moved there.  The agreement was Erica was going to finish school there but it didn't work out, she would have had to go an additional 6 months for two reason.  One her second language was sign language and in Georgia they didn't recognize that as a second language.  Also Erica was in a progressive advanced math and they don't have that here in Georgia and didn't also recognize that, even tho she was at a higher math then what they offered.
Anyway my friend graciously opened her home to us so Erica could graduate with her class.
Ok back to Minnie.  Erica' friend Courtney mother recently was offered three kittens.  The owner was going to dumped them in a pillow case somewhere.  Thankfully Courtney's mom took them.  Erica said "mom I know a kitten you could have".  It had been a year and a half since I had to put my last cat down.  Mama Kitty, I was still in mourning.  But I was curious so we took a ride over to Courtney's to see these kittens.  I fell in love!  I fell in love with Minnie.  I called Mr. Man immediately to tell him about them which he was totally ok with.  He wanted to be sure I was ok with getting another cat.  I WAS!
I made several visits since I couldn't take a cat until Erica graduated and we could go home to Georgia.
Then Erica called me one day and said, you just need to know that Courtney is keeping one of the three kittens and you can't have that one.  I went over to see which one she picked so afraid it was going to be  the beauty I picked.  Whew!  It wasn't!  Minnie (Minnesota) (Tom named her) is mine!  Fi is theirs!
A couple of weeks later we got to bring our little Minnesota home to Georgia!
She has brought me great joy and love and has grown, changed and involved into this wonderful cat.
She is my every next breath!
Minnie has never drank out of a bowl. I asked the vet if it was ok that she drank out of my cup and she said as long as she hasn't licked her butt before she drank out of my cup.  Mmmm................................
