Florida - Disney World

We arrived in Kissimmee, Florida on Sunday June 8th.  After we checked into our resort we headed off to the grocery store to stock up our kitchen.

Our first official day we headed for the lazy river for 6 hours! Mickey enjoyed it so much.  Erica was back at our room working remotely.  She had to do that for two days then she would be on vacation time for the rest.

Tuesday we went to the owners meeting ugh mistake after two hours we headed to a different pool on the resort.  This time we only spent 2 1/2 hours.  I think we were still water logged from the day before.

Our plan was to go to Disney world in the evening so it will be cooler and we would stay for fire works.  But it was raining pretty hard.

We still made our way up to the park gates and it didn't look like it was going to let up anytime soon.  So we opted not to continue in and made our way to Target.

We picked up a few items and a Bingo game. Once back at the resort we played a few games of Bingo.  Mickey did really well calling them off.  My back was hurting so I watched TV but the rest played go fish.

Wednesday morning looked beautiful and we finally made our way to Disney World.

Our first stop was to meet Tinkerbell, my favorite Disney character.
On our way to tomorrow land we ran into the mayor and his wife.
Look at Mickey's fancy face painting.
One happy girl gets to meet a couple favs.
After this picture we stood in a long line under cover thankfully to go on the Pooh ride and the skies opened up!  I had packed rain ponchos so we put those on.  It was still raining after we got off the ride but not as hard as it was.
A new set up in Fantasy Land is a big top where you can meet Daisy Duck, Minnie, Goofy and darn if I can't remember the other character.
We had a long day at the park first half sunny and very warm second half cooler with rain.  By the time we were making our way back across the lake the sun was coming out for a very nice evening.  But we were beat.

Erica had a time of it.  While approaching the platform to get on haunted mansion ride this girl in a big hurry to be in front of us stepped on the back of Erica's tennis shoe and when the ride was over she noticed the soul of her shoe was half off.  She couldn't walk in them, so Mr. Man and I said we would go find her some flip flops or shoes as we were making our way back to Main st the skies opened up again.  Oh what we won't do for our family.

Then while approaching the ferry to take back to the parking lot Erica slipped on the wood plank to the ship and fell.  She went to urgent care today her knee is still swollen.  She was quite embarrassed to fall but then the captain of the ship saw it happen and said over the loud speaker "are you alright?"  Urgent care said it is a sprain.

Sorry it's been so long since our last visit, please check back again soon as I will add more about our vacation.

Update on Mr. Man.  He is still out of work and tentatively his return date is July 7th.  He is on a new plan in his pt and we are hoping this will work better for him.

Hugs,
Tania
