Thursday morning I woke up feeling so exhausted, I had no energy and all I wanted to do was stay in bed and sleep. I told Mr. Man this because we were scheduled to go to Sanibel Island. He said you need to come we are going to the beach. I was in a grumpy mood because I just didn't feel right and my comment back was isn't this a free country?
Mickey came in after and talked me into it with her cute smile and wonderfully sweet words. So I got up and mustered all I could to get ready.
It was a 3 1/2 hour drive there...a long 3 1/2 hour drive. We have had several friends and reading on line about it that it is a wonderful shelling beach so we thought it would be worth the drive.
Mr. Man and I loved this beach, I think Mickey did too. Erica not so much she wanted this beach to be like Cocoa, one she could walk out and swim in the ocean. Too many little shells that hurt her feet to walk out on.
We stayed three hours and collected a lot of small shells. They were right in the many shells but they were all small, I sure wished they had some larger ones too.
We had a long drive home as well while sitting in sand, that is the worst about going to the beach.
We got back to the resort at about 9 pm and went out to dinner at a restaurant at the resort, they had an all you can eat ribs.
A lot of sun, full bellies and time to sleep.
The first picture in today's post is one foot of Mickey's, Erica's and mine. The reason we did that was because when we left for Florida Erica noticed my nail polish and she thought it was so funny because she just bought new polish for this trip and it was the same color! So all of us girls matched!
One more day to post so please stay tuned.
Hugs,
Tania
