Vacation!

I used to love planning our vacations but it has gotten harder and harder for me.

This year is our 30th wedding anniversary and 5 years ago Mr. Man bought me some really special jewelry for it a new engagement ring which he said he always wanted me to have a bigger stone and we searched for the right ring for almost three years also he bought me a bracelet and an open heart necklace.

We were also suppose to take a big trip to Europe or some place over seas but due to his accident an being laid up for sometime we were not able to go so we planned on going on our 30th. Well...

Last year we bought more time share because what we spent on it we could go anywhere and also get airfare with it and it would cost us the same as if we went to Europe whatever but this way we get to keep the timeshare.

We asked our girls not to have babies or get married this year because it was our year.  Well I think someone forgot this....the one with the bad memory.  Oh well...sniff sniff so we didn't get a honeymoon, we didn't get our 25th, we will next year!!!!  I am hopeful!

But it's like we don't get a vacation at all.  We at least get to do something fun where most do not.

Like I said I use to like to plan vacations but honestly we have done most of the US and want to do something new.  We have been to all but Louisiana, Hawaii and Alaska together!

Our go to vacation is the New England states because we just can't get enough of them and there is more we would like to see and do.  (three times there so far)  Florida also has been our go to state I lost count on that one.

So it's really hard to think of something we want to do that also our timeshare has a resort at.  Well one of our timeshares.  But that is the one that we need to book two vacations before June 2014.  I dropped the ball on this.  I didn't realize I had two weeks this year to plan until after Christmas.  I don't know where my head is at I do blame everything on menopause these days so lets go with that.

We want to go to Louisiana, San Antonio, coastal California but there isn't any timeshares available there.  But we did decide on...

Mr. Man and I drove through Vegas in 91?  To California with the girls but it was in the afternoon and we both took a turn getting out of the car to pull a slot each so we didn't have to worry about paying for parking and the girls.

I did drive through here once again on my way to California with my parent when I was young and remember the lights at night but that was about it.

Mr. Man and I don't really care for crowds and we aren't very good gamblers but we have always said we would like to experience it once.  We are!  This is our anniversary trip.  We have a week of time share here but we are only staying four days.  I think we will be ready to go home in four days.

For our special anniversary we want to have dinner in a nice restaurant and see a Cirque Du Soleil.  We have seen several but they have different ones here.  Also we talked about a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.  We have to watch our pennies though...we do have a big event this year!

We also saw Brad Garrett is doing a stand up routine and we both like him so we may catch his show.  Other than that I think the photo takers we are we will just enjoy being out and seeing all we can see.

Two months later we are taking Mickey to...

Yep our go to place, Florida.  She loves it there, of course she does!

We are staying at our home resort and our plan is Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Cocoa Beach and time at the lazy river right at the resort.  Mickey of course has bigger plans of more parks but once again, pennies!

We wouldn't normally be taking these trips back to back like this.  We do usually take two big vacas and two minis a year but like I said I dropped the ball and didn't realize I had to use up our time by June 30 2014.  I mean we already paid over $800. in our maintenance and taxes so we really need to do something.

The rest of the year time off will be for the wedding.  Showers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and rehearsal.

I know such a dilemma.  I know a friend or two that would give anything to have this dilemma.  Sometimes I think it's a burden.

Next is finding Candi and Hans a honeymoon...our trip, they can go anywhere!  I am happy for them I think everyone should have a honeymoon.  I sure wish I would have said no to the big wedding and took the money we spent on it for a honeymoon and did something small like I wanted but I was young and dumb.  This will be wonderful for them and if she is happy mama is happy!

Thanks for the visit

hugs,
Tania
