Saturday was Lilburn Daze, lots of foods, crafts and vendors along with music, school bands and dance studios performances.
We had a wonderful "snack" American Crepes, Club Med. chicken, feta cheese, tomatoes, spinach, olives other ingredients I can't remember and a wonderful sauce.
What a nice day and beautiful weather. Until I got a call from my sister. She has cancer. I knew a couple of weeks ago that there was the possibility of but they found it's bigger than they thought.
She is scheduled for surgery this Thursday and they will know more once in there. Her doctor told her that if it's contained they can remove it but if not they can't do anything and close her up and talk about options after that.
I asked her if I should come up for her surgery but she has many kids and they will be there but she said if they can't do anything then she wants me up there to help her get through the next stage.
I'm praying I won't have to make that trip unless she just want help or company or both. I am trying to stay optimistic but in the back of my mind I keep thinking I can't loose another person in my life. Please send prayers our way.
It looks like Mr. Man maybe making a trip back to MN again, so maybe if he HAS to make this trip I may go with him then I can see how my sister is doing.
Even though I received some bad news Saturday I did have an up side to my day...Mickey and Erica came over to look at what costumes I had from when our girls were small and to have dinner.
Mickey decided she didn't like our costumes, makes me laugh writing about this. I think Erica was a little sad that she didn't pick her cute scarecrow costume. So off to Walmart to buy a Batgirl costume. She sure did look cute in that.
We had a wonderful late dinner on the deck, later we turned on music so Mickey could dance and I had to join her. We did have fun! She is fun!
Sunday was our lazy day, I love those days too.
I am blogging today with a flare up and need to stop for now.
