Minnesota Visit

Recently Erica, Mickey and I drove to Minnesota for a wedding.  It was my life long friend, Robyn's oldest sons wedding on Saturday September 28th.  We drove up a week early to spend time with my daughter Candi.

On our drive up we took a different route so we could stop and see my sister and her husband but just hours before my sister said they both were very sick with a cold.  I was so sad not to see them.  Being on the medication that lowers my resistance to infection, Erica said she can't afford time off from work and Mickey can't miss pre-k, so we opted not to stop by and expose ourselves.

In a nut shell we had a very busy week, visiting with my friend Robyn one evening while Erica visited with many friends and did fun things like going to Como Zoo and The Walker Art Museum and Sculpture Garden.

I went to a few of my favorite shops and quilt shops, my happy places!

Every evening Candi took Mickey to the pool to give her swim lessons since Candi's part time job is a swim instructor for kids Mickey's age.  It was nice for her to have that special attention.

Friday Mr. Man flew up for the wedding and for the closing of his father's house which was sold to his niece.  After that many of my family members met up and spent the day/evening of it and then a couple of friends joined us.

Saturday was the big event at Majestic Oaks Golf Course.  It was a beautiful wedding.  They had a photo booth there which is the thing to do for weddings these days and it was fun to try out.

It was a long drive home we did it in one trip rather than stopping for the night  I have done that many times but the older I am getting the harder it is on me.

I didn't upload my pictures yet but I hope to add some for you soon.

Now the reason I am posting on this blog...I keep getting a warning on my other blog about a possibility of link that may expose my finances and personal info so best not to push that until I know more about it.

Oh and since I have been home I bought a new laptop!  Windows 8 has proven challenging to me since I am not good with change.

Well that's my news for today!

Thanks for the visit.
Hugs,
Tania
