Quilt Trunk Show -1

Mission accomplished!  I pulled all the quilts and quilted items such as table runners and wall hangings out of the guest room closet and photographed them.

I have been wanted to reorganize that closet as well so I feel really good to get them out of there...for now.
Here is a start of pulling them out and bringing them to the kitchen.
I also had to go around the house and pull quilts that are being used.

I also have more quilts that are in storage.  Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentines and Fourth of July, which I didn't want to start pulling out bins so I will photograph them as each season is upon us.

Also I gave several quilts away to my daughters and granddaughter, my sister and her kids, friends and friends that had become grandmothers for the first time and my great nieces and nephews (first born) Which I don't have photos to share with you.

I also had made my mom an autograph quilt when she turned 60 and she was buried with it, I do have a photo of it but couldn't find it.
Piper thought I pulled out the quilts for her.  The kitties do like the quilts too!

So I am posting today finished quilts only the tops even though I did take a photo of the backs for my record but thought that would be boring for my post.

There are so many projects I will break them up into categories.
This was a block of the month from the quilt shop which I had worked. This is hand quilted.
I belonged to a Thimbleberries club when I lived in Minnesota and we bought a kit per season this is winter.
This was another year at the TB club also a winter.
 TB club autumn, above
Below is one big panel quilt.  The fabric is of paper dolls and I couldn't bear cutting it apart so I made one panel quilt with borders.  This is in the guest room as a napping quilt.
My Halloween quilt which I also made a small one for Mickey.  I am missing that picture as well.  My laptop died before I could get all my pictures removed.  Lesson learned! Oh but I do have them printed out, just not on a drive.
My friend Barb and I went to a GA quilt shop hop and we both bought this quilt kit, I have it in the guest room for a napping quilt.
This quilt is pretty beat up but I still have it.  I made it for Mr. Man and I.  I picked this particular pattern because it is called the double T.  This quilt is also a tied quilt which I haven't done in years and probably won't ever again.
This is a block of the month I did when I belonged to a quilt guild in Conyers, GA
Oh my I should remember something about this one, I will have to do my research when I add it to my book.
This is a TB club spring or summer?
This was a quilt challenge at the guild in Conyers we had to choose so many polka dot fabrics.  I call this Ida's closet, that was my great grandma's name and she was the one who started me on quilting and sewing.
A rag quilt that I collected fat quarters for sometime from GA to MN and back.  This quilt Mr. Man took as his own.  I may have to make myself one!
This is an eye spy quilt I made Mickey for Christmas a couple years ago.  Luckily she was over and brought it to be washed so I could photograph it.
This beat up quilt is all flannel front and back I made this for my step dad for Christmas one year.  He loved the old fashion sleds, he collected them and decorated them for Christmas.  The pattern is antique sleds.  When he and mom passed I became the owner of two of his sleds.
I also joined the TB club that the quilt shop I had worked.
This quilt was my first formal quilting class.  I made quilts by what my grandma had taught me and it was cutting out by templates!  Then my mother in law came across a quilt shop that offered beginner classes so she asked if I and her daughter Sue wanted to join her.  This is the first of the three classes.  By the way what a nice new gadget I learned how to use in this class...A ROTARY CUTTER!
This was the second class.  I must have loved Debbie Mumm at the time because these two quilts are from her fabric line.
This is our third class.  I made this one for Mr. Man, it has tools printed on the black fabric.
This is a quilt I made for my mom.
This was a block of the month from the quilt guild in Conyers.  I moved to North Dakota part way into it and a friend in the guild sent me the rest of the patterns.  She also gave me a piece of fabric to use in.
I love this quilt!  This fabric came into our shop and I pet it all the time dreaming of what I could make with it and I came up with this turning twenty.  This is hand quilted.
Please visit again as I will be adding more!

I hope you enjoyed my first day of my trunk show.

Hugs,
Tania
