Every year one of my favorite antique shops has a Christmas evening open house. Mr. Man and I were settled in to watch TV after dinner and all of the sudden I said it's Vintage Village Christmas! Within minutes we were out the door.
They close at like 5pm and reopen at 6:30 pm until 9 pm and it's all decorated with lights and candles, many people walking around with nibbles, cookies and cider. Christmas music plays in the back ground I just love the spirit it all brings.
The opening picture is one of my purchases. I have always wanted "thee Jim Shore turkey" This isn't the one, this is a smaller version for a really GREAT price! This will be our Thanksgiving center piece this year. I can't believe they wanted to sell it!
My other purchase was this small vintage mercury heart ornament. I won't be putting this on the tree it will go with the rest of my heart collection.
Each booth has a free gift, it's like looking for eggs at Easter you know about it and then you find it! I did find another but I held out for something I would like more. You only get one free item.
This is a sweet Mikasa dish, I think I may put a candle in it or guest soaps.
Mr. Man bought a woodland Santa. Ugh I didn't get a picture but when I do I will post it.
I started to get him woodland Santa's years ago and I only got to two they aren't terribly expensive but enough and he found this one for a song. I really love the woodland Santa's they are ...well woodsy.
I am almost done with my Christmas shopping I have a couple of things left for Erica which I already know what they will be and Mr. Man, I know what they are just waiting to get them, he balances my checkbook so the longer I wait the better! I do usually tell him he can't do it until after Christmas I do have an idea how much I have in there and I am safe.
Isn't my turkey cute? Gotta love Jim Shore!
Thanks for the visit
Hugs,
Tania
