Little Helpers

I wish I had taken a picture!  I sometimes remember too late.  I mean I do have a camera in the house, in my purse now do I  need a camera for every room?!

Any who...I made a list on Monday of things to do this week there were 11 items to do, not including my normal boring stuff like sweep, vacuum (daily cuz I have four cats) make the bed and laundry and normal stuff like clean the three bathrooms!  Oh and now don't forget to water the hanging basket of flowers out on the porch.  But I have 11 other things I wanted to get done. One was to lay out a quilt.  Well that is what I call it.  I am trying to get caught up on my projects and on my list was to lay out (def:  to sandwich the back, batting and top of the quilt to be quilted) a quilt that was the shop's B.O.M (block of the month) two years ago! 

So...After piecing together the back and laying it out on my kitchen floor, the largest space without carpeting to tape down it becomes a magnet!  I swear this piece of fabric like others must, in kitty tone say here kitty kitty come sit on me!  Because all of the sudden I have three kitty butts on my backing!

I say scat cats!  They leave only until the batting comes out!  Scat cats once again, OMG  now the top  Ya know it becomes very hard to smooth out three layers when you have 34# of cat on your project.  It took an hour and one phone call with Erica on speaker to get this laid out and pin basted.    But on the upside this was my 8th to do I did!

I do have three others left on my to do list I think I can get one done, that one is to write in my journal about my MN trip...The other two I'm not sure, one is to do a shop sample and the other to do my Thimbleberries club block from last year, it is a lot not just a block really but like 100 half square triangles to piece and sew together, then sew to the quilt...then add borders, um not gonna happen! 

My kitties sure love the quilts I make, if no one else appreciates them that is OK I know my girls do.
