And I have a little helper who keeps reminding me that she is helping mimi.
Mr. Man is afraid that if I keep having her help me remove wallpaper she may go into someones home that has wallpaper and start removing it.
The wallpaper was easy to remove and the border came off in one complete piece. Now the question once again is color. Mickey said it should be purple, a girl after my own heart.
My other project I have started is in these two photos, these are quilts done in a quilt shop I now am in the process of the red work.
Let me go back to last summer. The new issue of Quilt Sampler Shop Hop magazine came out and I saw this beautiful quilt shop with a beautiful quilt and also saw this was at a quilt shop in Iowa which I was going to be traveling through in September and I would be in that general area!
It was meant to be! Now the quilt shop owners in the Midwest are very picky about taking pictures in the quilt shop but I did get permission to take these only if I was buying the pattern and the kit which I did, so these are those pictures.
The same quilt that was in the magazine. I love this quilt!
So once I got home and admired the way they packaged the kit I lovingly put it on a shelf.
That was almost a year ago. Until last Friday the women who come in once a month to the shop to sit and stitch was picking out background fabric to do this exact quilt. I told her I also had that pattern but I had bought the kit that the shop had put together. She was very interested in the fabrics that were in my kit and asked me to help her pick out her background fabric.
Well it got me thinking about my little purchase from last year and went home and pulled it out and yep I started it. BUT not until I first finished the redwork I was working on. Funny how you can get something done quickly when you see something else you want to do.
I am so excited to complete this quilt for Christmas. I would like to have it on our bed which means I will need to pay someone to quilt it since piecing it and hand quilting it would put me way past Christmas.
I am still working on my fall quilt, hand quilting it and it is coming along nicely. I figure if I can quilt one square a night then the border I should have it done by the end of August. We will see. Great goal though.
Now I got to get cleaning the house so I can work on my projects!
What color is your bathroom?
